Diplomatic Ceremony Held in Dubai to Strengthen Moldova & Pakistan Relations

A prestigious ceremony was held on 7 February at Emirates Hills, Dubai, hosted by Mr. Syed Kashif Ali, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova, in honour of H.E. Mr. Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan. The distinguished gathering reflected ongoing efforts to further strengthen diplomatic, cultural and economic ties between the Republic of Moldova and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

In his official remarks, H.E. Mr. Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani praised Mr. Syed Kashif Ali for his dedicated initiatives in advancing bilateral cooperation. He described the establishment of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova as a significant milestone in Moldova–Pakistan relations, underscoring a shared commitment to enhanced diplomatic engagement, economic partnership and institutional collaboration.

The reception brought together esteemed members of the diplomatic community. Among those present were H.E. Mr. Lilian Moraru, Head of the Department of Consular Affairs Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova; Ambassador Mr. Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s Envoy to the UAE; H.E. Mr. Anatol Vangheli, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the UAE; and H.E. Mr. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai. Members of the diplomatic corps and other prominent dignitaries were also in attendance, highlighting the importance of the occasion. The ceremonial exchange of commemorative shields added a distinguished and symbolic element to the gathering, reinforcing the shared commitment of both nations to deeper bilateral cooperation and mutual understanding.

The event served as an important platform to celebrate the growing and friendly relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, while reaffirming the mutual commitment of both nations to meaningful cooperation.
